Patricia Rust, former literacy advocate, and current contributing writer for the Los Angeles Times, is an award-winning television and feature film writer whose work has been recognized the world over. Realizing a long-standing dream, she combines her love of children, positive messages, and humor in her children's books.

A graduate of UCLA, she is a contributing editor to POV: Producers' Guild of America Magazine. Her "Jackie the Angel" stories can be found at Jackietheangel.com. She has also written for several sitcoms and hopes to bring some of her other children's work to television.

Patricia is currently developing an animated children's series with a major network and working on future children's books. She created Power for Kids, Inc. for Literacy to encourage young children to embrace reading.
