March 15 2004: Patricia will visit Jefferson Elementary in Redondo Beach, California as part of their school district-wide literacy celebration.

- December 16 2003: Patricia spoke on the importance of literacy to a
group of professional women at Women of Los Angeles's annual holiday event.
- May 9 2003: Camino Nuevo School in Los Angeles, California. Patricia reads to all the 2nd and 3rd graders.
- April 4 2003: Appearance at the International Family Film Festival
- December 4 2002: West Hollywood Elementary School, on behalf of The Writers Guild of America Foundation, Patricia will read and interact with children to show them the power of words.
- December 3 2002: Speaking to the "Women of Los Angeles" at their holiday luncheon. Exact place and time to follow.
- November 20 2002: we will be at the Brentwood Country Mart from 5-7 p.m. in
Brentwood, California as part of a new store opening for "Shop" and holiday
party for The King of Skittledeedoo! Patricia will be signing with
foundation volunteers.
- November 2 2002: Patricia reads and signs at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu,
Hawaii and introduces the First Lady of Kingly Crafts, Teresa Howard, who
will be helping apply royal reading knowledge to crafts!
- October 27 2002 at the James West Center at UCLA: 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Power for Kids, Inc. will be at UCLA for Alumni Reunion Party all day with readings and learning activities for children. Patricia will be reading with foundation volunteers.
- October 24 2002: we will be at Passport for Reading at Taft High School from
6 p.m. on. That's in the San Fernando Valley, California. Patricia will be
reading in classrooms with foundation volunteers.

Schedule a reading to your children by Patricia Rust
Patricia Rust enjoys reading the book to children at your school or library
(or anywhere else). As part of the program the children work with Patricia to
create words and stories from those words. Patricia keeps these programs fun,
original, creative and challenging. Here is all the information you need:
School and Library Programs
Preschool (one hour program):
Reading of book
Drawing exercise (draw the land around the letters)
Kindergarten - First grade (two hour program):
Reading of book with questions and answers
Draw words and letters out of the box to make words and sentences.
Second grade (three hour program):
Reading of book with questions and answers
How to make your own book. Each child will create their own book by the end of
the day.
Special program (All day):
Reading of book with questions and answers
How to make your own hardcover book.
Each child will create a hardcover book for themselves and write the story
inside.
